Hey I went to watch a soccer match at the National Stadium today! Singapore vs Malaysia! Haha. Just tagged along with krys, lieng kian, dixon, gerald they all after cell.

The national stadium looks a bit small now, after I got used to seeing thousands of people packed into a place every weekend. I used to think that the national stadium was huge haha.

Anyway, it was quite exciting haha. I’m not sure if I’ve seen a live soccer match before. Maybe not. Haha can’t remember. The atmosphere was hot! Kallang waves here and there. Even more enthusiastic than National Day. Haha. Most people were in red and white. There was only one small Malaysian section in yellow. Haha. The two sides kept booing at each other.

Malaysia scored the first goal during the first half. It was so ambiguous that they needed a few minutes to confirm that it was actually a goal. The ball just bounced in lah! So dumb. 1-0.

But we managed to equalise at the second half. 1-1. Not bad. Haha. The Singapore team is not bad, but they need to learn how to shoot faster. Sometimes they just play with the ball until the Malaysian team comes and surrounds them. Haha.

Left with krys just before the match ended cos we figured it would be impossible to get a cab otherwise. In the end, Singapore won! I think on penalty shootouts, because when we left, it was overtime already and no extra goals were scored. Yeah man. Soccer matches are good for the soul. Haha. 

Street Jazz 1! First lesson taken by Ryan. Haha. Actually Carol was supposed to be teaching but don’t know why she couldn’t make it for the first lesson today.

And it’s fun! Well, that’s what I said for hip hop also after the first lesson I had last year. Haha. Street jazz is all about stretching! Space. There’re some ballet elements in it. Man…can you imagine me doing ballet? Hahaha. But we had to do the ballet pose, the pointing toes thingy and v-shaped feet thingy with arms looking like they’re holding a watermelon. Ya.

But hey I like it. Hahaha. The elegance…I don’t know but Ryan made it look so cool… I need to stretch more. Quite inflexible, but much better than I was before during my squashie days. Ahahaha… so many new hobbies. Yay. Drums, street jazz, what’s next? Mugging!! Aaahhh… I need to mug! I need to read my textbooks! Aaaahhhh…

Yeah man. Sarah didn’t join in the end, so at first I was a bit afraid I’ll be scared of class cos I was going alone. But hey, I met jacqueline (from leila’s cell) and her sister, jasmine! They joined hip hop 1 also last year haha. So at least I see 2 familiar faces. Which is good, thank God.

I just need to learn how to remember dance steps. Horrible memory. Hahaha..

Hey my drum set is finally here! Yay… Spent the whole day today working on it.

My mum got me out of bed at 9 plus to wait for it to arrive. It came at about 10am in 2 huge boxes and 3 smaller ones. Then I spent the next 3-4 hours trying to assemble it. Tough work haha. Also went to Great World to get an adaptor for my headphones.

And so after so long, I’ve finally got my drum set! But I think the user doesn’t match up to the set. I’ve forgotten most of what I learnt already. Can only do a few basic beats now. Can’t even do fill-ins properly. This is what I get after 1 year haha. Oh well, think I need to read my drums textbook again and practice. A lot.

But hey, my room still has plenty of space even after adding in the drum set! Whoohooo..

Whoohooo I didn’t spend a single cent on transport today! And no I didn’t stay at home haha. I had school in the morning and stayed in school most of the day. Well nowadays my mum’s been sending me in the morning most of the time, so I save on the trip to school.

For my trip back home, I normally take the BTC and then change to a bus. So I’ll spend about 65 cents. But today, the bus just stopped 2 stops away from my house to let some people off! Think it’s cos of the old lady who got off haha. So I quickly got off too. Then I walked home. Yay!

Using the BTC route takes a longer time, but the long bus journey feels like I’m going on an excursion haha. Quite fun. I meet interesting people now and then. And I get to save a few cents.   

Nowadays, the day either starts well and ends badly or starts badly and ends a bit better. The day didn’t start very well today. Was so tired during lectures. Fell asleep for the first one, talked and daydreamed for the second, fell asleep and daydreamed for the third. Doesn’t help that I have occasional irritating thoughts to push aside. 

But hey, blessing or not, I’m getting an IBM! The x60, 1.3kg light. Haha. Swopping with my sis-in-law. She’s a graduate student in NUS, so she gets the laptop discount as well. I’ll have to wait til the end of the month though. So about 10 days without a laptop cos she’s selling hers and she needs one for her work. 

I think I’ll miss my fujitsu. It’s so pretty, you know after using it for more than a quarter of a year, I think I sort of know it’s personality already. The sounds it makes. The feel of the keyboard. And not to mention the larger LCD screen.

The IBM doesn’t have a touchpad. So I’ll have to use a mouse or settle for the rubber spot thing. And the screen is much smaller than my 16-inch fujitsu screen. But that’s the price I have to pay for portability and weight loss. Haha. And I think I can bang it around more since it’s an IBM. I think. Hahaha. But nah I treat my laptops pretty well.

Woke up from a long-awaited nap. Got home at 4 plus, slept soundly until 6. I could still sleep, but oh well.
