funny animations/dance floor February 28, 2007

The biochem animations are so funny! Ok I think they weren’t meant to be, but the music included in the animations really make them quite hilarious…at least to me lah. Have to go to IVLE to watch, so I can’t post them up here haha.
And I’m finding new delight in The Dance Floor. Just found out that I really like to watch performances, especially dance performances. I used to go for those symphony orchestra concerts in secondary school with my MEP friends. Then after sec sch, I stopped going cos MEP friends went to diff JCs. And also no time. I like the Arts, does it mean I’m spiritual? Hahahahaha
Strange bahasa indo words have been popping into my head now and then. Random words. Haha. This is a rather random post.

Cool…Things are looking up haha. I’ve got more hong bao money this year than previous years I think, even though I got less hong baos. Cos most cousins are married. Next year, will get more cos sister is getting married this year! Hahaha. Yeah man when you’re unmarried, you get hong baos.
Hahaha
And I think I didn’t over-eat this cny. Hahaha. Maybe. Hope not
Need to run more often! Rah.
Hoping for something to hope for? I’ve got something to hope for! The horizon looks good. Bright and sunny. So exciting to go for class bs. Hahaha. Something new. Should I take a module for special term? Then don’t have to pia so hard for 4th year and can do something with the extra time. Just that… will have to pay extra. Oh well.
Yuan tai persuaded me to join POS over msn. Haha. Yeah man sounds exciting. Looking forward to emerge already
just follow law/so blessed February 19, 2007

Went to watch Just Follow Law today with my mum. Fann Wong and Gurmit Singh are so funny! Hahaha. They exchanged bodies in the show. Though it was a bit unnerving to see Fann Wong staring at hot babes haha. A show worth watching. Really. Haha.
And after the movie, I thought… if I could switch bodies with someone, would I? Haha I’m quite happy in my own body…I wouldn’t swop it with any girl. But maybe…if I could swop bodies with a guy… Hahahahaha. But the guy must have a good body. And good-looking hahaha. Can’t be flabby. Ya what, guys don’t have to work as hard to be able to run faster, lift heavier loads, etc. And they don’t have a certain problem every month. They don’t have to bear the pain of childbirth. And things would be less complicated. But then, being a female also has some advantages. If you want to skip PE, you can just complain of cramps. Not that I’ve done it before. Guys’ sport shoes look nicer. Oh well.
Man I love my new speakers haha. Altec Lansing. With a proper subwoofer! At least I think that big box thing is a subwoofer. The bass comes out from there. I feel so happy just listening to music from those speakers. Man… Really… I think all this while, I’ve been listening to sub-standard music from a pair of free speakers. Didn’t know a change of speakers could be this good. Music just sounds so good now.
And I spoke to a friend online last night. I think my friends need to have a lot of patience with me. Otherwise I’ll either lose them, or get shot by them. And yes, I’m very blessed. I forget. And there’s really no good reason for me not to be happy. I mean, let me try to list the new things I got recently.
1. An electronic drum set
2. A new laptop
3. New speakers
4. A new handphone
I’ve got an ipod nano, good clothes, a new laptop case for the new laptop, a rug for the floor under the drum set, a huge room, new textbooks, a good course in a good university, aircon at night, good food, a good amount of angbaos, a funky church, no parental objection, a God who loves me, eternal life etc.
Honestly, I’m blessed beyond reason. The only material thing I want but don’t have is a car. And haha right, that’s rather hard to get hahaha. Money doesn’t buy happiness. Maybe I should be more thankful for what I’ve got. It’s not a maybe. I should. Haha. I’m just acting like a spoilt brat. Haha. I should just be a good girl again. Stop the rebellion. Yeah.
10 ways to kill a camel February 18, 2007
Posted by dot in Misc.3 comments
1. Shoot it in the eye at point blank range with a pistol. It’s no superman.
2. Use a fork and poke holes into it’s hump to let water leak out. Oh I forgot, camels don’t store water in their humps. Ok then, just use a carving knife, chop off the humps and let it loose into the desert! No fat stores, no water, it’ll die of dehydration. Or simply blood-loss.
3. Shave off it’s fur. It’ll get sunburnt and die of skin cancer.
4. Feed it lots of milk. It’ll become lactose intolerant after some time, get diarrhoea in the desert and die of dehydration… again. (Milk has lactose. You’ll get diarrhoea when you don’t have enough lactase(enzyme) to break it down)
5. Use a chainsaw and mistake its neck for a tree branch.
6. Tie it’s neck to a tree and it’s hind legs to the back of a lorry. Drive off at top speed in the opposite direction.
7. Feed it with a time bomb. It’ll implode. Or explode. I don’t know.
8. Hammer its hooves to the ground. When you need a light source at night, just pour a little kerosene on it and set it ablaze. Camel fat burns brightly. There is a light that shines in the darkness.
9. If it causes anyone to stumble, tie a millstone around it’s neck and throw it off a cliff into the ocean.
10. Compress it and squish it small enough to go through the eye of a needle to prove that rich men can go to heaven.

3 glasses February 17, 2007

It’s chinese new year’s eve! And I’m back from reunion dinner haha. Before dinner, I drank 3 glasses of champagne. And my head spun haha. But no one knew, except for my cousin whom I told. Ah so 3 glasses is the max. Think if I took one more, really cannot walk in a straight line already. Haha. Maybe cos it was on an empty stomach. Think pauline will scold me? Hahaha… So I sat down for most of the night. To prevent myself from walking and getting found out
Hahaha…
cool bike… February 16, 2007

I saw a really cool bike yesterday as I was waiting for the bus from the business canteen during lunch. I was just standing at the bus stop waiting. I had nothing to do while waiting, so I was scrutinizing the motorcycles beside the bus stop, deciding which was the prettiest one. I think I like sporty-looking bikes. Those which look like the ones at arcades. Decided that I liked a blue and white bike parked there.
Suddenly, I saw this guy on a bike riding into the car park. Man, he looked so cool on his bike! I was like, whoooooo… Man I wanna ride a bike like that too! Cos the bike made him look so cool! It was a black bike. Black as a raven. Hahaha. I didn’t manage to get a picture of the guy on the bike because I was too mesmerized by the sight
He rode right into the parking lot and turned the engine off. Left the bike, taking his helmet with him.
Doesn’t it look pretty? But I tell you, it was prettier with its headlights on hahaha.
Only managed to get one shot of it before the bus came. Ah well. Should I go learn how to ride a motorcycle? Bikes are so much cheaper than cars. Should I should I? Hahaha. I wanna ride to school on a bike too! But I’m afraid of paralysing myself in a car accident. How? Should I learn how to ride a bike? Hahaha.
4 negative attitudes/follow February 15, 2007
Posted by dot in God, lyrics.add a comment
Today’s service was good. Even though I was dead tired after a whole day at school, but the Holy Spirit still managed to get stuff into me. I think it’s also the first time I’ve heard Pastor Derek preach a full sermon. Normally he just does the offering message. And it shows that it doesn’t matter who the preacher is, it’s God’s message the preacher preaches, the preacher is just the vessel which God uses to convey His message to us.
The message really spoke to me. And it’s good because it helps me along in my journey to change. Pastor Derek spoke about the 4 negative attitudes that destroy relationships and antidotes to them.
Selfishness, pride, insecurity and resentment. He also explained what each one of them meant. And it’s quite humbling when I find that I have all of them. The things that he said applies to all relationships, even my relationship with God. This year didn’t start off well. Might have backslided a bit, or a lot, I don’t know. It wasn’t good. And it was due to everything mentioned above. But it’s a decision I have to make, whether I want to follow God or not. If I follow Jesus, it’s tough. But at least I’ll have Him in my life. If I don’t follow Him, life would be easier. I wouldn’t be stretched and I’ll just be who I am. Or was. But then I would be without Jesus. And that’s not what I want to be.
So I’ve to work on it. And every bit of progress counts. Little steps will eventually make a journey. Haha. And I’ve got the Holy Ghost living in me to help me. He’s everything. I lay my selfishness, pride, insecurity and resentment at the cross, and that’s it. Now the Holy Spirit has to help me not to turn back, not to keep looking back. I’ve to look forward. Because I still have life, and life abundantly. My life doesn’t end because of a stumble.
And there’s this song which I learnt in children’s church when I was in primary school, back in QBC. Haha. It’s still in my head after so long. But it really just captures the essence of what I have to do haha. And what all of us have to do.
I Have Decided To Follow Jesus
I have decided to follow Jesus (x3)
No Turning back, No Turning back
The world behind me
The cross before me (x3)
No Turning back, No Turning back
Though none go with me
Still I will follow (x3)
No Turning back, No Turning back
It’s really a lifelong journey haha. But with God, it’s gonna be exciting. Oh and pauline signed me up for chorus board because strikeforce hasn’t contacted me yet after so long. Haha. Yep.
Newsboys – Blessed be Your name February 15, 2007
Posted by dot in lyrics.add a comment
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name
And blessed be Your name
When I’m found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed be your name
Every blessing You pour out I’ll
Turn back to praise
And when the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be Your name
When the sun’s shining down on me
When the world’s “all as it should be”
Blessed be You name
And blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there’s pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name
I will bless Your name

Whooo… I sat on a really cool bus back home. It had really funky seats man. And I took pics!
Check out the cool bar-like seats! Doesn’t it just look like some strange tour bus? But it’s a 153! Haha… too bad the ride lasted only 5 minutes, down Farrer Road from BTC.
But whooohooo… if only all buses were this interesting hahaha.
