It’s been quite a tiring week, and it’s only half over haha.. I haven’t really been sleeping well the past few nights, and had rather long days. And for the next few days, I’ll be going home late.
There’s the Switchfoot concert tomorrow! And yes I mean, I want to go and I got tickets already, and they don’t come to Singapore often. I’ve all their CDs. Hahaha.. So it’s cool, I’m going for Switchfoot’s concert tomorrow. Means I’ll get home late haha
On Friday, well enough said on the blog entry about my Fridays
Sat, krystle’s party is at changi! Changi… and at night. Hahaha…
Oh well.. yes. But thank God for today. Hahaha.. The meeting today was good, even though quite a number didn’t turn up (and I also don’t know why some of them didn’t cos they didn’t reply me or tell me anything). Thank God for strength la. And ya, we had 3 juniors who joined us, plus Yuan Tai (senior) who came halfway and left halfway. So attendance was still over 10 haha..praise the Lord
Talked about seeking God today..hope they caught it.
Well.. and I had bible study today, which always makes the day good
Brother Jimmy took it..and he has quite a different perspective of things. I realised right, different people have different focuses when they give bs, but the spirit is the same. (Duh..all have the Holy Spirit what, of course same la) Haha but can see la, I mean, if the bs teachers are growing more and more like Jesus, then I’d really want to meet Jesus. Hahaha..
I told rachel that I could see the effects of the Holy Spirit, like strength and empowerment, a kind of feeling. So do I recognise the Spirit by the effects? She gave gravity as an analogy. Like, all of us can only feel gravity’s effects, but we know that it exists even though we can’t see what it really is. Haha I’ve a lot more to learn.
And the level of bible study doesn’t equate to spiritual maturity. It’ll help, but it still depends on the person. Like me, I’m already at AFV, but I’m still asking questions which well..show how much I still lack haha. But hey, I’m heading in the right direction.. I hope.
Going to church doesn’t make you a christian. A cockroach can go to church too, in fact it may even be born in church, but that doesn’t make the cockroach a christian. Going to mcdonalds doesn’t make you a hamburger. A person can be in church for many many years, 10, 20, 30 years.. but doesn’t mean anything. It’s what he’s doing that matters. What is he doing in church? Really accepting the word and acting on it, building his relationship with God? Or just going for the sake of going? Haha what people see on the surface doesn’t mean anything, unless you dig deeper, you won’t know.
fridays.. January 25, 2008

I just realised that my Fridays are quite packed. Didn’t really feel it last week because practicals hadn’t started yet. School started at 9am today, microbiology lab. Micro b lab is quite fun hahaha.. get to play with different microorganisms like E coli and Staphylococcus aureus… lab’s from 9-12.
Then there’s a 2-6 slot blocked out for pharmacology. Today we didn’t use all of it, just 2-3 and 4-5. And then there’s forensic science from 7-10. Man.. I love the lecturer hahaha. She’s an attorney I think, so she works in the day, that’s why our lectures are at night. But she’s so interesting.. and has a good sense of humour, which is quite essential for an evening lecture. Oh and she’s super tall.. we all think she’s over 1.8m. She doesn’t wear heels, but no one in the LT is taller than her..haven’t seen any guy who can beat her height hahaha.
She’s so good man… forensic is so interesting, but I don’t know how to study for it hahaha. I don’t know what’s going to be tested. There’re a lot of murder cases and other criminal cases. So interesting. Get to see pictures of dead bodies and crime scenes. And learn the different motives for murder, different methods, etc.
Oh she got some guy from AXN to come down today, and he brought with him 150 free CSI posters. Didn’t take it cos I don’t watch CSI hahaha. But it was cool.. some guy from the HSA also came down to tell us more about stuff. Really cool.. My only complain is that it lengths my fridays so I spend 13 hours or more in school, which is really tiring…
Footprints, fibers, blood stains, fingerprints, different marks and stuff.. So many things to give a criminal away hahaha. If a forensic scientist commits a crime, think he’ll get away with it?

Everything in its time by Corrinne May
Sometimes I wonder what lies ahead
How long till my hunger is fed
They say it’s hard to make it in this part of town
So many people on this merry-go-round Some folks try astrology
Some turn to crystal balls
To find an answer,
To get through it all
I just fall on my knees and I try to pray
In the silence I can hear Him say
The river runs and the river hides
Out to the ocean and under the sky
I promise you, the answer will come
Hold on to patience and watch for the sign
Everything in its time
I often feel like I’m two steps behind
Somebody must have moved that finish line
There are a thousand reasons
Why I should give up
But I’m stubborn in the things I believe
The river runs and the river hides
Out to the ocean and under the sky
I promise you, the answer will come
Hold on to patience and watch for the sign
’cause maybe there’s another plan
One I still can’t see
A little surprise, like your love in my life
Funny how time changes how we see
The river runs and the river hides
Out to the ocean and under the sky
I promise you, the answer will come
Hold on to patience, just watch for the sign
Everything in its time
Everything in its time
school’s starting.. January 13, 2008

Haha holidays have ended. School starts tomorrow. Normally, I would be happy (strange right). Because normally, I’d be so addicted to studying that without studying, I would feel extremely bored and unfulfilled. Hahaha. I didn’t know how to rest.
But these holidays have been good. Rested quite a bit. Slept late yes, but woke up late too hahaha. In fact, I think I’m rarely awake on mornings, except on sundays of course. Finished Heroes season 1, a few other movies, read like.. 3-4 books. Have 2-3 more uncompleted ones, but decided not to spend my last week reading hahaha. Hung out with my cell for a few days. And the overseas people came back! Liz and meiling haha..
Quite enjoyed these holidays. And I don’t think I want school to start so soon haha..Haven’t done all I wanted to yet!
Rabbit agar agar!! And one beheaded
What do I want to do? I want to:
- Fish
- Go for a picnic
- Fly a kite
- Bake with friends
- Finish reading my books
- Finish watching the movies in my hard drive
- Sleep more
These aren’t my resolutions, but they’d be nice to do. Ah well.. 3 weeks more to Chinese New Year! And 4 months more to the next holiday hahaha..
Well.. school is cool.. I will grow!

Hahaha oh man.. these are quite nicely done. Read the article and watch the videos.
High-school teacher spreads the word on climate change
By Hank Green
Gore did a pretty good job sounding the alarm on global warming. But he’s a rich ex-almost-president. What can a mere EcoGeek do to save the world?
Six months ago, Oregon high-school science teacher Greg Craven posted a video on YouTube in which he makes a fairly logical argument for treating climate change like the emergency it is. Voila! Four million views later, he’s changed the world.
Man I love geeks. Geeks are so good for the world. And this guy is definitely a geek. A fantastic geek.
His first video, “The Most Terrifying Video You’ll Ever See” (the one that’s been watched more than 4 million times all together), provides a concise explanation of the precautionary principle:
In later videos Craven fills in the gaps in his argument, very completely in my opinion. Here is an adorable “devil’s advocate” version of Craven arguing with himself:
The videos are amazingly well done, but I still wouldn’t have expected them to be so popular. I’d like to talk to Mr. Craven about it, but he’s too busy being interviewed by the likes of ABC News.
So next time you think one person can’t do anything about global warming, remember it all starts with education — and education starts with teachers.
jobbbss…. January 7, 2008

Man..today was a busy busy day. And I spent most of it at home.
First, I went for that job aptitude test in the morning. Found out that the job was to produce patient information leaflets, so the test was to extract information from the drug information provided by the drug company and make it into something patients can understand and find useful. A bit like SP
Well the job’s cool… but I don’t know if I got it or not cos they said they’ll call me back. Which may mean they’ll call back or they won’t.
And after I got back at around close to 12, I rested a while, because can’t call restaurants during lunchtime, it’s just not wise. So started calling at 2.10pm. Called until about 6.45 when I had my dinner and then rested for a while again cos it was dinner time. Then called again at 7 plus until about 9.45pm. Altogether I finished about 140 of the list. Oh man..I hope they don’t ask me to follow up on those restaurants.. I’ll just puke blood
Some of the restaurants right, their person-in-charge is in another office, then have to call the office, then sometimes have to call back because the person isn’t free at that time.
The only part I like about earning money is…the money
They’d better pay me..or else…
Ministry outing. Job. January 6, 2008
Posted by dot in Daily life.2 comments
What a way to start the first sunday of 2008! Today was a tiring but good day hahaha
Tiring because I slept at 3 the night before and woke up at 6.45am. I love sundays
We had a new song today, Beautiful Savior. Wished that I was out with the congregation praising God, but had to serve haha.. It was amazing. Pastor preached about Focus. And about setting goals. Haha it was a great message. Yes it’s important to stay focused, and that’s something which I have to work on. Last year, I didn’t make any goals for the year. This year, there are certain things I want to change and so, I’m going to set goals.
Man it’s been a tiring day.. after service, I went with my cell to heeran to eat tasty wanton noodles for only $2.50! Not bad.. then walked around heeran for a while before heading off to plaza sing for the chorus board ministry outing. It’s the first ministry outing I’ve been to, and I think they don’t have ministry outings very often haha.
We had an amazing race activity and then went to the Fish & Co glasshouse to have dinner. My team comprised of May (leader), Liling, Weiming, Phileo and myself. For the amazing race, we had 3 stations and at each station, we had to compete with another team. We were given clues to find the places. For the first, we had to separate a bag of different seeds accordingly. For the second, we had to complete a list of tasks such as finding a man in purple shirt to take a photo with. And the third, whichever team formed the longest line from items won. So I emptied my bag and so did Phileo. We used everything, tore the map into strips, used earphones, pens, notebooks, everything we could find. And we won all of the stations! Hahaha.. We were also the first group to reach the end venue, the glasshouse, because our last station was just beside it.
And hey we won the fastest group award and we won best overall team! Yay! And that means we got a $70 prize. So for dinner, I only paid 20 cents because in total, the bill for the 5 of us was $71
Hahaha.. And we shared our food so I got to eat different kinds of fish for dinner! Oh and then after dinner, they had a prize giving/appreciation thing for the members haha.. It’s cool..and I got to know more people in my ministry. Hahaha.. though I still don’t know a lot of people, but at least I made some progress
Oh and I got a new phone, a brown k770i
And I’ve got a job haha..have to call 200 restaurants to ask if they want to sign up with this company which is going to print an advertisement booklet. Need to start calling tomorrow. Hope I can finish.. no pain no gain! Hahaha.. Plus, I’m going for some aptitude test tomorrow morning for another job, no idea what I need to do, no idea what the pay is, but it’s a work-from-home job, and I think it’s pharmacy-related
I don’t like to work by the way, who does? Hahaha.. well.. Hahaha God please help me.

Man I don’t know what’s wrong.. firstly my pencil case spoiled, the one which I’ve been using as backup ever since I lost my pencil case last year. Then my computer mouse is threatening to spoil, it keeps freezing, then I’ve to unplug it and plug it back into the USB port. Then now I got a traffic summon. And my mother already reminded me to put coupon before I left the house, and I remembered as I drove into the carpark, even checked the rates. But I forgot once I parked the car. $30. Right. Very sad.
